Hearing your brother-in-law saying how we should speak correctly to children reminds me of a story in our family that I thought was funny. When my nephew was about 7, he drew a picture and showed it to his Aunt Julie. He asked “Do you know what is it?” She said, no Austin, “do you know what it is?” He thought a minute and then rephrased “do you know what it is? Aunt Julie promptly said “no Austin, what is it?”
The look on Austin’s face was priceless and has given the family a lot of laughs over the years.
